It seems the Polar Vortex wants to blast us with some wintry weather every time we plan a Playgroup. Our dedicated moms aren’t bothered by a little snow, though! Playground Talk’s first playgroup was held at Kids U in Paramus on January 10th from 3pm to 5pm and moms came out for some much needed socializing. Best of all, it was free–can’t beat that deal!

We had such a wonderful response to this “playgroup” we’re now calling these larger Bergen County wide events “Playtimes”.

At Kids U, over 50 moms came out to enjoy the afternoon. The kids, who were addled from cabin fever, joyfully bounced on the trampoline or explored the large play structure. It was great to see everyone enjoy themselves so much and my kids were among them! We also loved the friendly and enthusiastic staff at Kids U–they were great and you could see they truly loved their jobs.

Just look at everyone having a blast!

We had two great sponsors!

Lauren Wysocki from Liberty Travel came to talk to attendees about spring break and summer travel planning. I loved hearing about their services and her tips on her favorite places to visit. Be sure to check out their River Edge or Paramus office for a free consultation!

Erica Danziger from Nature Girl Wellness also provided healthy snacks for the kids and talked about her business as a holistic health coach for families. Check out her website for more information:

We were able to offer a fantastic Playtime at World of Wings in Teaneck on Wednesday, January 22nd from 3 to 5pm.  Yep, that was a snow day and we couldn’t have been happier that World of Wings opened just for our Playtime Event. Everyone that attended was thrilled to get out of the house to chat and play – I think we were all going a little stir crazy!

Here are a few pics of the fantastic afternoon! The photos below were provided by Maegan Dougherty, local mom and family photographer. These were from Maegan’s iPhone but be sure to Find more information on Meagan and her photos here.

Our sponsor for this event was Jennifer from Baby Boot Camp. We had a blast chatting together at check-in and letting our kids play together – oh yes, she too wanted to get her family out of the house on this cold snowy day! So, be sure to check out their Paramus and Ridgewood classes and follow them on Facebook.

We will have more “Playtimes” in the future so keep following us on Facebook and our newsletter! We love meeting you in person and getting to know our readers.

Do you want to be a Playtime Sponsor? We’d love to hear from you. Contact
