Jersey Skyline Wine Festival Sat and Sun: 12pm to 5pm. Provides a selection of wineries from across the state, incorporating hundreds of wines. Seaside Heights Clownfest Seaside Heights will be hosting their 33rd Annual Clownfest Weekend from Thursday, September 11th through Sunday, September 14th. Bring the family and friends down for a weekend of boardwalk and clown fun! Games, shows, clown creations, face painting, balloon creations, and so much more! The world’s only “Clownfest Clown Parade” will be taking place on Sunday at 2pm, and there will also be a “Family Fun Frolic” for all to enjoy! Register for the Clown Parade and come dressed in your best clown outfit!

Stony Point Battlefield and Lighthouse Hudson River Ramble 12pm- 4pm. Take a walk to the Lighthouse at 1:00 p.m. with a costumed guide and learn how the lighthouse served the economic development of New York and the nation. At 2:00 p.m. take a walk with a soldier and learn the detailed history of how the battle unfolded.  Join the site staff for the 3:00 p.m. firing of the 6 ‘pounder’ cannon. 44 Battlefield Road, Stony Point, NY

Wave Hill Family Art Project 10am-1pm.  Put your abstract spin on the nature you see around you. Follow the easy techniques of New York native abstract painter Helen Frankenthaler. VeggieFest 10am-8pm. 60 brands representing New York and New Jersey’s established and emerging vegetarian cuisine-loving and animal-rights friendly population will come out to taste, meet, eat, and share the love of all things vegetarian. Lions Club Circus (Franklin Lakes). There will be three shows at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. All parking will be on the field – no need to park in the shopping center lot across the street. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at TD Bank in the Urban Farms Shopping Center, Cartridge World next to Stop and Shop, and Super Deli Mart at 805 Franklin Ave. in Franklin Lakes.

Bergen County Family Fit Day. 9am to 1:30pm. Paddle the Navesink Day (Red Bank) Come try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and rowing at the 4th Annual Paddle the Navesink Day in Red Bank on Sunday, September 14th, from 11am to 3pm. This FREE afternoon of fun takes place at Maple Cove, where local boating clubs, businesses and organizations will offer people the opportunity to learn and be supervised by certified instructors in the river. Enjoy an afternoon with the family on the river and learn how to canoe, kayak, or paddle board!
