This weekend there are ways you can have some family fun outdoors AND support a great cause at the same time. There's the St. Baldrick's Cancer Fundraising event in West Orange on Saturday or the fun runs planned on Sunday by the Junior League of Montclair-Newark which help support local kids at risk. Whatever you do, get out and get active!


Sept. 15th to October 28th: Bear Mountain Oktoberfest.
12pm to 6pm. German food, live entertainment, arts and crafts. Take a
boat ride on Hessian Lake, stroll in the park or take a ride on the

Dinosaurs Rock: Fossil, Mineral & Ocean Adventure. 10am to 5pm. Dig for fossils, touch hundreds of museum pieces like Whale specimens, Mastadon Leg, T-Rex skulls and more! 30th Annual Clownfest.
Sat: 9:30am to 9pm; Sun: 10am to 3pm. Slapstick comedy, shows and of

Apple Days.
Sat/Sun: 10am to 5pm. Wagon rides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, etc.
Also, visit the adventure barn, corn stalk maze and tons of apple

Run 4 Children at Risk. 10am to 1pm. 1 mile fun run/walk, kids' races on the track at Woodman Field, a teddy bear "clinic", and a 4 mild race through Brookdale Park for older kids and parents.
