My oldest son just turned 3 so I thought this Christmas would be the perfect time to break out our Elf on the Shelf, Luke, named after our cousin. Also, because of the new baby we’re (“we’re” meaning my oldest son) are having a bit (“a bit” meaning crazy temper tantrums) of a tough transition, so adding another set of eyes watching for good behavior could only be an added bonus. Plus, I thought this would be a cute idea to help create excitement during the holiday season. Well, that was until I logged onto facebook and I know you’ve seen it too…people posting creative ways their elf showed up in their home. Within seconds I felt the pressure that is the Elf On The Shelf! Check out this funny article written to the elf on the shelf overachievers.  If you’re feeling this too, I did the research for ideas and hope this saves you googling time and lifts the pressure a bit 🙂 Happy Elfing!
