I must admit I’m a Mommy blog addict. So, I was reading Tidy Mom on my google reader (best way to read blogs) and came across this recipe for Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate. Be sure to click on the recipe link because Tidy Mom’s pictures of the drink are beautiful.
Let me just tell you this white hot chocolate is fantastic (and I didn’t even add the whip cream)! It’s easy to make and doesn’t have a ton of ingredients. I made it for my husband and he loved it and I even let my munchkin taste it and his response was, “Um, Gooood”. Gosh, I love that kid. Then today, I made it for my parents (with sugar cookies, dip them in it, amazing!). Plus, how many hot beverages can you drink at night? No caffeine in this one. So, did I convince you yet? Happy November and please comment when you try this. I can’t wait to hear your responses
Ingredients
1.5 c. whole milk
1/2 c. pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
pinch ground cloves
pinch sea salt
2 oz. white chocolate (roughly chopped)
Directions
Combine milk, pumpkin & spices in sauce pan over medium heat. Stir until simmering.
Remove from heat. Add chocolate.
(Serves 2)
My experience: I didn’t add the salt or whip cream on top and it was still out of this world. I wasn’t exactly sure what pumpkin puree was but I easily found it in the baking isle. I’m not a baker so I’m not sure what type of white chocolate I was supposed to use. I was in a hurry and just grabbed Nestle’s white cholocate chips so I didn’t have to chop anything and just eye balled 2 oz. This serves two, but two small tea cups, which is okay because it’s very filling. I also doubled this recipe and it worked perfectly so feel free to make enough for everyone.

This drink is AMAZING! What a great find, thank you sooo much for sharing! This is one I will definitely serve again and again during the Fall season.
Yay! We should try to add the Bailey’s one day
